We train on the Patterson Lakes river at Carrum / Patterson Lakes, as well as in the sea, as this sport is an ocean racing sport. For safety reasons we generally stay close to the shore as the area skirting Mordialloc down to Frankston has strong rips and currents, with short choppy waves and sometimes excellent surfing waves.

We share the club house with Patterson Lakes Canoe Club situated at Launching Way, just off McLeod Road. The Clubhouse has modern facilities and a big, warm and friendly environment for new paddlers and canoeists.

Winter training requires appropriate clothing for the conditions e.g., thermal gear, boots and warm clothing to change into after training.

Training is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday morning.
